Philip had his first experiences with stone towers and stone dams in the summers of his childhood with his grandparents. After that, however, it was to take about 20 years until he rediscovered this passion.

In the summer of 2010, together with a good friend, he occasionally began to stack stones on top of each other by a stream in his home town of Carinthia. The fascination for it grew from year to year and after reading the book Center of Gravity by Peter Juhl in early 2013, he realized how much potential there is in this thing.

Since then Philip improved his balancing skills and capture the whole thing in the best possible way on photos. In the meantime he spent many hours in various streams, on beaches, on mountains and everywhere where at least two stones can be found.
